Quick question. A client recently gave me a set of 4.30s for hooking him up on his home loan. My 98 doesnt see a whole lot of driving, but when it does i am usually on the it seems like every a$$hole kid out there wants to race. Right now it has 3.27s and i dont know if i wanna go clear down to a 4.30. What do you think???

By the way, my car is a 98 with 75mm TB Saleen Series II, with ported lower,13 LB pully, 10 in. K&N, Dr. Gas o/r X-pipe, and borla XR-1 Catback.

4.30's are not that much more than 4.10s. That being said, 4.30's for a 98 GT with out PI heads is probably over kill. The 4.30's are really for cars that make power in the upper rpms like cobras and 99+ GTs. You might be ok "if you have" an auto since they have a different gear ratios then a 5sp. It would be a close call on a 98 Gt if they would be too much or not.
