4.30?

4.30s might be ok for an auto, but for a 5 speed I'd do 4.10s. No more, no less. But if you're like me, it'll take a few weeks of these guys on here pounding it into you head for you to finally decide. You're going to go with 4.10s....you just don't know it yet.....lol. Oh and by the way you are probably looking at 2500 rpms or more (probably more) at 70 mph.

I have 4.10's on a 5 speed, and If I could do it over again, I would have gone with 4.30's. the freeway rpm change took some getting used to, but I went from 2.73's to 4.10's and I still feel comfortable on the freeway. I did slow down a bit tho, I used to cruise on the freeway at about 85-90 with the 2.73's, now with the 4.10's I drive about 70-75. if you have a manual you'll be at about 2600rpms in 5th gear at 70mph with 4.30's.

4.10's in an 03 automatic driving in OD at 70 mph. 4.30 would be a bit much unless you are really into racing and don't drive it on the streets that much.

While we are on the subject, this is kind of related, but what kind of gears would I want to install if I plan on installing a supercharger and or a bigger engine in the future? I heard that I might want to go with 3.73 gears.

that is what i've been told that's why i didn't go with 4.10's on my car becasue i'm going forced inducted in the near future.........that 3.73's will be more than enough for supercharged cars but i know that people will tell you other wise.............. this is my opinon only
