...Speaking on a "per liter" basis. GT vs Z28 motor:

GT
260hp/4.605 L = 56.46 hp/L
302ftlbs/4.605 L = 65.58 ftlbs/L

Z28
310hp/5.670 L = 54.67 hp/L
340ftlbs/5.670 L = 59.96 ftlbs/L

That's 3% better in HP/L and over 9% better in ftlbs/L

Granted, these are the peak numbers and one could argue the LS1 winds up faster/has a flatter torque curve, which it does... but as Ford proved in the Bullitt, that has more to do with what feeds and relieves the engine. Interesting... maybe the LS1 is impressive more because of sheer displacement and not because of genius.

Bwuhahahahahahahaha

The LS1 puts around 300hp to the wheels stock, so its more like 345-350hp at the crank stock.

Per Liter stats never won anything....just ask the honda guys.

Per liter means nothing if the other guys has more liters.

Does that rationale apply to motorcycles?

i think you are confusing hp/liter
with power to weight, and then you need to think about gearing and use of power. but its all bench RICING
