I want to buy this write off a guy in my home town, its not reparable and there is 21,000kms on the car. What kinda of work to put in the 4.6? and will it bolt up to a t-5?
It can be done. People have done it. There is a webiste dedicated to this swap can't remember the address but try to search for it. Their was a thread about this here once, but it may have been lost in the server crash.
You will need a tubular k-member if memory serves.
And the T5 is not a direct bolt on. McLeod makes an adapter bellhousing that should let it bolt on though. if you buy the write off, don't you get the tranny too?
