4.6L 2V Maintenance

Hi Everyone,

I now have about 73,000 on my 2004 gt (5spd). I've heard that its a good idea to change the PCV valve. How often should this be changed?

Also, any other suggestions for maintenance would be greatly appreciated.

PCV should be done every 30,000 miles if I remember correctly.

Another Motorcraft is the best one to replace it with.



If the coolant has never been flushed or drained/refilled now is a good time to do that also.

Transmission fluid should be drained/refilled every 30k or so (auto and manual).

Fuel filter every 30k.

My 2004 doesn't have a PCV valve. Yours might not either.

Um last I checked, every 99-04 gt should have a PCV valve.

Coolant was last done at 50,000. Transmission fluid will be done when I do my clutch soon. Fuel filter I did a while back, but I'll probably do that again soon too.
