Friday's the big day... I am swapping to 73mm Mk 7 calipers up front, a 96 V6 MC, 88 Turbo Coupe Rear end (axles, disc brakes, 3.55 gears, trak-loc), 93 cobra e-brake lines.

I still need a 3-2 port conversion for the MC, and a proportioning valve, as well as the center e-brake cable, and i need to modify the e-brake handle itself.... any hints? I've read all the web pages, just thought I'd see if anyone has any personal knowledge to impart.

But other than that it should be a good daybuild. I am painting the calipers red, should look good I hope.

Next week my steeda sports will be here. So should be a good couple of weeks.

maybe pony r's eventually... i like my 4-lug cobra r's.... or maybe go back to stock pony's... or maybe 10th anniversary cobra's in a 4 lug... we'll see.

do you mean that the mk 7 rotors will limit the wheel selection, or that the 4 lug will?

They work great! Much more stopping power than the little ones the put on from Ford....

I didn't notice a difference. If anything, with the stock MC, it made the pedal softer and felt mushy.

I did new rotors, pads and 73mm calipers with no MC change and bled the hell out of the brakes and wasn't impressed.

I was going to change to a 1" 93 Cobra MC but went Sn95 instead. I have 13" Cobra brakes now.

Oh and for a good 3-2 conversion, go to a boneyard and try and find a 94-95 V6 or GT without ABS. Remove the rear fitting from the prop valve and the head line running from the rear fitting to the drivers side caliper.

Then simply remove the plug at the rear of the fox prop valve, screw in the Sn95's fitting and then install the SN95 hard line to the caliper.

Cleanest 3-2 conversion you'll ever see provided you can find the two critical parts at a boneyard.

Yes it would work if you don't mind paying $50 for it. There are several cheaper ways to do it. I actually bought the setup listed on the second site you linked and never used it. The fitting was aimed to the firewall and i couldn't bolt any hose on at all.

Some guys have drilled and tapped the rear port for a 1/8NPT to flare (forget what size) and put the 3rd line there.

I went the SN95 route.

If you have a NAPA nearby, they carry the weatherhead fittings you'll need.

Sorry if i'm a little vague with my post. I can only clarify the way I did it so not sure what fittings and such you'd need for the other ways.

Matt emailed me back... $40 for the fittings and the 3-2 port conversion shipped... not bad.

and I picked up the Wilwood prop valve... I really want to put it in the ashtray spot... would be nice to adjust brake bias while in the drivers seat :nice: But we'll see if i feel that brave or not...

So uhh... will i have any fitment issues running a 16x8 (245's all around) with the TC rear end?

I really hope I wont have to roll the fenders

The Wildwood valve mounts very nicely in the brake line where it splits under the passenger side hood hinge. Follow Matt90GT's instructions and you won't go wrong.
