Alright guys, got a quick question since my local performance shop is closed today. I got a 351w with a 408 stroker. I just got the stroker in the mail today and I had it balanced before it shipped. My question is, do I have to mate up specific pistons to specific rods on certain spots on the crank? Or do I just throw it all together?

Unless they are marked with the cylinder number then they can go anywhere, just make sure the radius or fillet on the rod faces the proper way on the crank.... Make sure the bearings are installed properly, depending on what parts you have they could have a "top" and "bottom" halves.

Look for identifying marks which the "balance tech" would have made.
Mine was done locally, but there were still marks on everything where he had them during the balance.

It's common to be within and not more than a half gram on everything. But I wouldn't put money on that assumption.

Is guaruntee that everything is matched up. Like said above, check for marks. Most balancers will make it pretty easy for you.

Cool cool, thanks guys.

Rick. The rods looked identical on both sides, so I just threw them together...I did check that though.
