I won't take on 2 projects "ever" again, but my 72 just came back from paint. I did 2005 Mustang white. I've put discs F- and R-, lowered rear 2", but haven't lowered front yet. It has 17" Magnums, most trim is painted. I built torque monster 429 CJ, C6 and 3.50 posi. Engine goes in next weekend. Here ya go...

I'm not a big fan of the 71-73s but that vert will look good! Must be the big ol' roof line I don't like lol.

I don't like them either, but your vert sure changed my mind Those mach wheels look right at home on her. Why did you go with the white instead of the red in your avatar? jw, still looks sexy though!

Thanks! I went to a regional car show, and 7 out of 8 cars were red. I also have a friend and neighbor with red 71 Mach convertible. I just wanted to do something different.

Thanks and I know what you mean. They are different than earlier Stangs. My first Mustang was a 72, so I have a soft spot for them. I do like all Mustangs though really. Even the II's This 72 is "the wife's". Mine is the 67 fastback.

I also had an extra 429 and wanted the easiest install and maintenance possible. 71's had 429 as bolt in, so it couldn't be easier.

I think it looks great. I tend to aviod white on these cars cause it has a way of hiding its great lines, but it works nicely on your vert. Will the interior be white too? Which grille will you be using? My personal preference is the 71-72 coupe grille.

Thanks. I did a light color cause these things are so doggone big. I wanted to make it seem less bulky. It started as yellow. My 67 will be black with white stripes, the 72 is white with black. Kind of a (queer, I know) his/hers thing...

I am using all Mach trim inc. honeycomb, urethane front bumper, pop up gas, grill, spoilers, center gauges and tach. I have a decent black standard interior I plan to use for now and figure out colors later. The wife wants "zebra skin", but I believe I can win this battle and save myself/us from open humiliation. I do like the white Mach seats and the comfortweaves though...

I've always thought when I did a convertible I'd go with a mix of black and white. Black carpet, white seats, dash and door panels would depend on what I had.
I've seen a few done this way and I really like the contrast. NOBODY likes be burnt on black seats in the summer!
