Saturday I dyno'd at TorqueFreaks to fine tune my AF. 5 pulls total. 4 of them were better than 429rwhp/400rwtq SAE. Best HP was 432. Best TQ was 405.

Mods:
Magnaflow Catback
K&N FIPK
Nitto DR's
Predator 93 Octane "Performance Tune" with some fuel added (15% bottom, 3% top) AF is nice, relatively flat 11.5-12.1.

All the rest is stock (including the pulley). I dyno'd at 391/386 at the dyno day in March with only the Magnaflow CB and drop in K&N.

I'll post the final dyno sheet as soon as Sean or Tim emails them to me.

I'm pretty happy with the numbers. Thanks to Joe for the Predator.

The HP number seems a little high. I'm not complaining, just wondering. What do you guys think?

Great numbers!! But they seem kinda fishy to me, I have seen alot of 03-04 Cobra's post thier dyno numbers here, and none of them were like that with just the very few mods you have

In March I put down 405/390. Just the Stinger and K&N FIPK. The Predator seems to be working for you.

Yes, I remember. At that time the only differences in our cars as I remember were that you had a FIPK and I had a drop in K&N. The numbers that we put down that day seemed to be consistent with our mods at that time. I also remember that Rogue Cobra dyno'd totally stock at about 365 or so.

The couple of cases where I was able to find dyno numbers for setups similar to mine the HP numbers were in the ballpark:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=111108

and:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=110550

and:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104546

I don't know if it makes any difference or not, but my Cobra has the "stall fix" PCM reflash from Ford and my Predator is running the latest (r12d) release from DiabloSport. I was expecting to find the AF at the top end needing a bit of work, but the top end was pretty flat at about 12.2 on my first pull. The AF on the bottom end was rather lean so I ended up adding 15% to bring it in line. 3% added up top to bring the AF to about 11.7 and bingo.

I've always wondered what effect that tires may have on a dyno session. In March I was running the stock F1's and Saturday I was on 315 Nitto DR's (thanks Jesse). My first pull was on Saturday was 420/397 and I thought it was just heat soak but the next 4 pulls were all above 430/400. Maybe there is a little bit of tire slip on the first pull and once the Nitto's warmed up they gripped better. Who knows?

Then of course it could be the driver.

Looks like your car is a strong runner, good numbers. I dont think that the Torque Freaks inflates the dyno #'s at all based some of the other cars Ive seen there. I would think you could be confident that your car is making that power. What makes it even better is that it is hot out now, in the winter the numbers may have been even better.

All dyno's are for is for base line and future mod increases on the SAME dyno.

The track can verify your true numbers............

I found Turbo Tech's numbers on my 89 Fox to be spot on for the most part (two runs, year apart)

My Bro's Cobra runs 12.8-13.0's at 110 STOCK which factor out the same as his dyno numbers.

SO nice numbers !! You can never have enough HP !!

Not fishy, just a strong runner. I'm sure there is a little difference between different dynos, but my ex-'03 Cobra made 421 rwhp SAE with nothing more than a Bassani catback off a '99 Cobra and a UPR CAI. Besides some dynos being more optimistic than others, some cars just seem to run better. I always beat on my cars a little bit when they're new instead of breaking them in "soft" and my cars always seem to make a few more hp than other stockers. I don't know if my break in methods have anything to do with it or not, but I'm certainly not going to change my ways.

I made 420/400 with just CAI, MAC catback and Predator Performance tune. Congrats on the good numbers.

Does anybody know of a good Dyno shop close to Centralia and Chehalis? I have to get both of mine to the Dyno for tuning, so I'd need one that does A/F.

Thanks

Chucko nice numbers!!

Thanks for all the replys, folks.

Now I'm going to get a set of Brisk Premium LGS sparkplugs and then back to the dyno to see if I can get to 440rwhp/415rwtq. According to the folks at Strictly Performance, these plugs are supposed to be good for 10hp/10tq on the dyno on a mildly modded '03 Cobra. The plugs are spendy ($89 for a set) but it's still a lot of bang for the buck.

Here's some info on the plugs:

http://www.briskusa.com/products.htm

http://www.briskplugs.com/products-lgs.aspx

The plug for the Cobra is GOR17LGS and the electrode end looks like this:

and here's a thread or two where these plugs are discussed:
