Hello all, Does anyone know if they sell wheel spacers to convert a 67 stang rear to a 5 lug bolt pattern? I upgraded the fronts to 5 lug pwr discs and want to avoid swapping the rear axle. I still have the inline 6 in it so dont really need to uprade to an 8inch rear. Thanks

I would highly advise against using these 4-5lug adaptershttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-WHEEL-ADAPTERS-4-5-LUG-KIT-FOR-FORD-MUSTANG-79-93_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem439d97903bQQitemZ290406764603QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

looks like a great idea!!! I bought these exact adapters a couple of years ago for my 91 notch, they allowed me to put 05 GT wheels on it & they looked awesome! everything was fine until my left rear wheel went flying past me at 45mph!!!! I had everything torqued down but somehow the inner bolts slowly back out & created one heck of a 3 wheeled ride. Thanks God I was out in the country alone & no one was hurt.
IMO , do it right the first time. because I did it on the cheap the first time, It ended up costing me much more later on.
& by the way, when I told my local tire guy about them, he said, yeah, that is why those adapters are illegal in alot of states.
sorry for the long post but wanted to put in my .02

i agree with 393. best to go ahead and upgrade to an 8" rear end with 5 lugs than to use a 4 lug to 5 lug wheel adapter. besides which you will end up with a rear end that you can actually get parts for more easily.

thanks, i have an 8inch already, just need to get drums, shoes, hardware and pull the diff to make sure everything looks good. Those spacers look like they are $179 a pop, and tie that in with safety concerns. i'm thinking just go with the 8 lug like you guys suggest.
