Into a Classic Stang Right?
First of all you'll need a custom tranny mount. and a tranny controler, Baumanns TCS is the best choice. Reading Baumann Electronic Controls Home Page will give you a good education on the AOD/AODE/4R70W family of trannys.
For a 6 bolt 289/302 bellhousing pattern use a 98-03 V6(yes V-6)tranny. The modular V-8 has a different pattern.

The short version of my swap; NOS 4R70W with a short AOD tailshaft housing.(allows you to use a T-5 yoke THE STRONGEST) Tranny mount is a modified Windsor-Fox mount from my previous AOD install. I modified a 98 Mustang cable shifter, works great. The 4R70W's use a TPS insted of a TV valve like the AOD's.
This swap can seem kinda involved, but it's not hard, you will have more than a straight bolt in.
