4v heads and gt block??

I have a 01 gt and im just wondering if 4v heads will work on the motor??

yep.. but you need to drill a water passage into the block.. and LOTS of 4V parts..

It's an expensive task and unless you're willing to go all out with modifications to your new 4V engine to take advantage of its new breathing capabilities, it’s hardly worth the effort. For what you spend on the parts (even if they're used) to convert to the DOHC specs, you could have turned your 2V into a serious performer!

for how much it'd cost you in parts and labor/time you could sell ur car and buy a Bullit/Mach 1 that's already tuned for the 4V load and start modding that

you will require new pistons. basically a 4v short block to handle rpm's if you so disire them. if not high rpm's then pistons at the least. low c/r otherwise.

werd. you can build up a badass 2v for the price of getting a stock 4v to work. i too was under the impression of going 4v but i am just going to go with VT stage II heads and cams combo.

crank as you will be revving alot higher regularly
new flywheel for the crack as a 2V is a 6 bolt flywheel if i recall
heads
cams
intake
injectors
throttle body
Alternator
Coolant tube
harness
tune

I believe there are a few other items needed for this to work CORRECTLY
