I was just noticing that the speedo gear goes in on the passanger side!!! Anyone know how to make the speedo cable reach, as in do I have to have a custum one made or get one off a newer stang???

newer "stangs" have electronic speedos...

make your own cable? they make lengths of the inner core, the outer part you'd have to figure out..i know an 86GT speedo cable is much longer thanan 82GT stocker...almost a foot difference. or try to rig up some kinda electronic speed sensor

Pick up a '96 or up gauge cluster and mod it into your dash so that you can run an electronic speedo. In this way, all you have to do is lengthen wires. Lots of people have done it for modular conversions (like mine) and they look good. The only thing you'd have to do is wire up a distributor/tach adapter.

There is a way to convert a newer T56 to mechanical Speedo, I believe it involves swapping the tail shaft and some hard parts, but take that with a grain of salt, because I have never personally done it…

I think you can also get a Speedo driver…

it already is mech., its just on the wrong side. It almost looks like you can drill out the other side and it would work the same way, but my balls aren't big enough to do that.
