Umm...... need some more details on the truck, like milage, condition, etc.... I'd say 1,500 would be the MOST I'd pay for a decent condition truck thats almost as old as I am...

If it's not rotted and the V8 conversion is well done it'd be worth at least $3000 bucks in Upstate NY. You looking to sell or buy?

This should probably be in talk but... I agree with tjm... if it was loved (like folks love their Stangs) and well taken care of; $3000 is certainly not allot for one of those.

I just got a 83' Ranger with a F150 5.0L in it and C4 tranny. Its very quick little truck and a sleeper. I'm looking to put some Southside Machine ladder bars on it with some very tall and wide tires on the rear and hope it will hook a little bit

As of right now I can be rolling along doing 50mph and get in it and make the rear break loose.

Nothing like pulling up at a red light thou and reving it and seeing people's expression as the whole front end lifts and tilts like mad bwahahhahahahaha.

Good luck on getting it to hook

Anyone have any ideals on what works with these thing? So far I'm thinking the ladder bars and a 29" tall tire thats 8 - 10" wide...

He's running 30" tall drag radials (345/55R15 on 15x10 wheels) with a semi-experimental traction bar setup that works in conjuction with relocated stock leaf springs.

Nice tire size

I had some of the local stock car racers tell me a triangle shaped ladder bar setup will make the rear squat.
I'm not sure about it but I know Southside Machines make some nice ladder bars.
