I have an 88 Foxbody with an aftermarket door/trunk fob. The fob works great to lock/unlock but the door switches in both doors are very weak (have to press them multiple times to either lock or unlock). I’ve confirmed the switches are good. Any additional ideas?

Details man!

We are knuckle-draggers, not fortune tellers!

Have you disassembled and cleaned the contacts? Have you measured the voltage drop across the lock actuator leads to see of there is a difference between what you get with your remote setup and what you get when you press the switches? You can also measure actuator voltage drop with the switch vs. bypassing the switch.

Do you live in a relatively humid climate?

Aftermarket door lock solenoids?

Is there a difference in how they operate with the vehicle off vs with the engine running?
