5.0 ho s/c towncar speed density or maf?

do i have to be maf to use ford racings 1986-93 Mustang Supercharger part#M-6066-A50 on my 5.0 ho lincoln towncar? it will be speed density when i drop in the motor.

86 to 88 Mustangs were speed density. Well.... except the 88's delivered to California.

I wouldn't use the words "have to" but IMO it would be a good idea if you'd like it to run right.

hm. i think i lose cruise control if i go s/d as no mark vii's (ecu i have to use for cc) were maf. maybe ill just drop the cash on a set of AFR's and a lower manifold. even though im on a student budget i do spend the money on my cars over time.
