My new car is being built this week.. Huraah!!!! 9 weeks on order!

Has anyone had experience with Lo-Jack of ford's GUIDEPOINT?

Both products cost about a grand.
Decided against the $395 security option because the wheel locks will be thrown away and the HIDs will be aftermarket.

5.0 GT Premium 6-speed, Ingot silver, 401a Brick, glass roof, 3.55, Brembo, comfort, assy pkg 5. Corsa exhaust and CS front valance with lights is sitting in my living room.

Can you get us some pics of the corsa and sound clips when installed?

ALSO: Let me know if youre interested in purchasing the FRONT CS GRILLE to go along with the valence. I got the CS package, and I will be changing out the front grille to a black one. Ill sell it for $100.

Keep us posted..i just ordered mine 2 weeks ago.
Thanks
RC

94GTLaserRC,
I am looking for information about the Security System and you are way off topic. That is what I hate about these forums!
Anyway....Corsa has a site with sound clips. The advantage of these systems is that they are SS flow thru design with no DRONE.
Good luck getting your car. Expect 12 to 16 weeks though.

I have not. I've gone with Ravelco:

Ravelco Anti Theft Device

I put that on my F250, since they're so prone to getting ripped off around here. They've tried to steal my truck twice and they haven't gotten it yet. The GT is getting a Ravelco too.

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

Good for a engine kill switch but if they tow it YOUR SCREWED. lojack, GPS is the way to go and a good alarm system. I got the lojack and a clifford installed. Guidepoint? never heard of it. *** edit*** did a search on guidepoint. looks like a good product.

Panzer,
Interesting thought about an anti start system as aposed to a tracking system.
As another interesting fact found in my research is that my insurance company only gives me an $18/year discount for investing a grand for a security system.

If a thief has a tow truck you're going to be screwed either way.

I've recovered a few stolen vehicles near one of my warehouses. It's a dumping ground. I'm just happy when there's no bodies in the car (it's happened). In this area they steal, chop and dump pretty quick. Lojack will help you find the shell. I prefer they not drive my car off in the first place and so far the Ravelco is the only thing I know of that keeps the vehicle where I left it.

If a thief carries a tow truck in his back pocket he can have the car. I know he'll never get it started so he'll have to chop it, in which case I don't want it back anyway.

A buddy of mine had his truck stolen. The cops flat told him they don't have the time to go looking for stolen vehicles, and it'd turn up eventually. They were right, but since then I have to laugh at the ads for vehicle recovery systems. The cops simply don't care.

Sorry I'm not posting about the security question, however I just wanted to request soundclips for the Corsa setup when it's available! Corsa has always made fantastic pieces IMO!
