I do believe the 5.4L heads are the same as yours. The 05 Stangs have the 24 valve heads.

Why would you want to swap them? They are the same heads as yours

the 3v heads will physically fit, however the rest of the parts to bolt onto the heads to make it work would have to be scavenged off a truck. so theoretically, given enough money, it can work. but if you mean the truck 2v heads then they will fit because they are completely identical to your heads in every way.

Problems you would run into....Let's see...

Intake, Throttle body (electronic), Upr rad hose, custom exhaust headers, harnesses (elec. & vac), EEC, Clean air tube, Heater return tube and hose, heater supply hose, to name a few.

You could go with a cable operated t/b, but now you have to work out your IAC scheme, as the elec. t/b eliminates IAC components. I'm sure there are numerous challenges along the road to a 3V swap.

This subject has been covered numerous times, and the general concensus is that to date, it's not worth the 40 rwhp. You can get that with 2V cams.

No they aren't. Thay are mirror identicles to 4.6L 2V heads. Its the cams and increased stroke that give them that low-end grunt.
