Ok I got a couple quick questions ( sorry didn't use search function ). I plan on doing a 5-lug swap on my 1992 GT. When doing this with the kit that 50resto.com offers, will I need to change anything else? By this I mean calipers, brake lines, etc? Obviously my wheels will need changed, thats where my next question comes in at...

I also want to lower the car a bit. What's a good drop if I plan on using the '03 Cobra wheels in 17's? With a decent drop and the 17's, what size tire should I run to maintain good clearance?

Thanks for the opinions and pics if you got em!

edit : any idea's for control arms, sway bars, misc. bushings?

well since you have a 92 itll be better....the 91+ have larger front fender openings.

I have 17's and lowered mine using the FMS B springs and have no problems. I did have to get some CC plates and the brakes are no biggie at all.....no other parts are required. The 50resto kit is very straight-forward, but you can go ahead and get new brake pads while your at it.

The only thing that may be a problem is the dust caps on the front.....dont know how they fit with those particular wheels....somebody else may know

as for tires i would run a 245/45 or a 255/45 depending on the manufacturer (like nittos seem to run smaller)

on the back you can run the same, or maybe a 275/40 if you simply flip the quad shocks over and maybe make sure the exhaust passes

this should have been in tech probably

yeah I wasn't sure about tech or talk... i wanted opinions and experiences, im intersted in what has happened not what should happen.

I've been reading and sounds like the Eibach 1.5'' drop is the best and people are running 18's. So who knows... but I was wondering if you had to change the bump steer bushing or any of your shocks accomadate the new stance?

Why did you have to get CC plates?

the shocks and bushings are fine for me......i couldnt get enough adjustment with the stock CC plates...ended up wearing out my front tires so i actually had to get the plates and 2 more tires

the B-kit....kinda gets the front perfect and the rear stays kinda high (there has been many threads on it recently)
I just tought i could get away without them

Only picture I have...

17x9 Bullitts with 245/45/17s. SN95 front brakes and spindles and Saleen Racecraft Springs. I have issues with my wiring (hidden in the fenders) and rubbing, but that will be taken car of soon!
