Can anyone give me an idea of what could be causeing this?
When the car is stopped it's very difficult to put into gear. Once it pops into gear I can hear a loud clunk. As long as the clutch remains depressed I can then move the shifter into any gear, if i put the shifter back into neutral and release the clutch, press in the clutch again, then its very hard to put into gear again. When the car is moving I can go into any gear easily.
Because of the difficulty of going into gear at a stop, I always go into first before I come to a complete stop and leave the clutch pressed in.
