There seems to be loads of these out there. Do you guys have any prefrence to which is the better one. Or what do you have and how good is it?

My 2004 GT received a Pro 5.0 at 4K miles and I won't go back. The handle is a bit short, but the decreased travel and minor gear whine let you know you are in a sports car! There are also definitive clicks when you engage a gear that let you know you are getting firm and accurate shifts.

There are many others out there such as the Steeda Tri-Ax & the MGW, but I have not tried those. Pretty much anything is better than the stock noodle, IMHO.

You will get feedback of 5.0 and Steeda Tri-ax, for those are the most popular but thats because In my opinion perform the best. Not to say all other brands are not good, those two have recieved the highest praise.
I have a Tri-ax which I have recommended many times.
Has solid short shifts and hasent given me any problems.
Cant remember how I shifted with out it.

I have the Pro 5.0 and love it.The handle is a little short and forward of where it fits me but that can be remedied by making an adjuster plate out of 1/8 inch steel or aluminum.

I'm fairly happy with my Tri-Ax on my T45... but so many people are blowing there loads about the MGW i wish I went with that.

For the triax install, did you have to cut the rubber boot? I wish I hadn't had to on the Pro 5.0. Probably because it was made for Foxes first.....

Know where I can pick up a cheap boot, in the event of a vehicle sale or trade????

Tri-ax here and I just put on the MGW adjustable handle. I don't have to reach to the windsheild for 3rd anymore. If I didn't already have the Tri-ax I'd probably go with the MGW shifter. Heard lots of good things but have never used it.

Too be honest, get whatever you want. Any short throw shifter it better than stock.

Just put a MGW shifter and Cruiser (red) handle in my 02 GT last week. Very nice. Easy install, no cutting of the boot or anything. Very short precise shift feel now... Recommended!

When I bought my car I was not framiliar with the mustang brands so i just went with hurst. Hurst and b&m were brands I had used on other vehicles.

I also looked at pro 5.0 has a very low handle. I think this would anoy me in the long run as I am not a tall person.

looked at the steada as well. I have read about inceased tranny noise in many threads. Also a very notchy strating feel. now this is said to go away but why put up with it if you don't have to.

I have no complaints on my hurst ecept the handel is not ajustable in any way.

I would proably look for advice from someone who has ran mutiple brands as people sometimes are apt to talk up what they have as the best when they have not tried the competition.

after reading 9,000,000 shifter threads now I would probably lean towards the MGW if I were buying right now.
