guys im hopeing to get ready to start thinking about all the parts i need for my blower and built engine. if all my financial things go ok i could be doing this around next summer. seems long but time will fly as im trying to piece things together and buying things part by part.

there is alot of things to be bought hear, down to all the new gaskets and stuff. anyway, im still trying to figure out what fuel system to go with. do i only have one choice at these power levels? the cobra pump and tanks?

that is so expensive, i was wondering if guys are making it with the focus pumps? i know they sell them for kits that are pushing regular 8-9psi and making lower hp. how would the focus set up hold up around 500 hp.

i will be pushing14-15psi making hopefully 480-510rwhp......

thanks guys for any info!

well I make 468rwhp 548ftlbs on the spray and all I got is a focus pump. then again not like I'm always spraying. Might want to think about a focus pump and a KB BAP of course my understanding is you need to run a new circuit to do that.

SVT focus and a BAP will overload the stock fuse and would require and inline fuse inplace of the stocker. SVT focus byitself is good for 400-420ishRWHP

I did a TON of research into this and bought the Ford GT fuel pump.

Here is a link to a good thread....read the whole thing to learn how to make the GT pump work and what I did to makesure it doesnt drain the basketCLICKY.

The rest ill tell you outright. The Ford GT fuel pump (just 1 pump) will max out HP wise HIGHER than the dual cobra pumps! The SVT pumps flows a little more at lower PSI (40), but when you start upping the PSI they start dropping off....but the Ford GT basically just flat lines and quickly passes the SVT setup. So far one guy has maxed the single GT pump @ 575RWHP, with the stock fuel line and 60# injectors and NO BAP...I think they just upgraded the wiring to a little thicker gauge.

Stock wiring and it would be able to support WELL over 500RWHP.

And here is the best part mang...ITS ONLY LIKE $90 FROM RANDY! (MD)

:nice:

what else are you planning for your fuel system of the TTs?

yes please let me know! thanks all of you guys for the good info...

so the new thing is to go with the frod gt pump. ok does that go in the stock tank. you say their has to be some fabrication to make sure it dont drain the basket?

wow. i havent read the other thread you posted yet, im gonna do that now. hope it isnt too hard, im not good with fabbing things. the price is right though!

Hottmustang331 knows of what I did on my car, alot of you guys arent gonna believbe it. I idnt until I saw the pump duty cycles myself. I have the stock pump and a BAP. I know I am over the 400.. prolly close to 440 rwhp just by the runs i made in the car. it is in the mid to high 11's. I beat a car that traps 121 the other night before the bearing stacked.

the pump duty cycles were suprisingly low. even with a 10.5 a/f. it had room to grow, and with the addition of methanol it will be even less taxed.

flame away,.. thats just how it is.

wow hotmustang, that seems like alot of fabbing. i will ask my tuner about it but i dont think he will be up for it. he actually told me he has been using the cobra pump in a stock gt tank and he has had no problems with it so far.

i think i would rather go with the cobra tank and pumps. how bad is the price on that sucker? is it cheaper anywhere?

Thanks :D . So far just the GT pump thats going in, and already threw in the FRPP 42#s a few weeks ago. I may have to step it up to 60# injectors and a BAP down the line...but for now that should easily support my needs.

We are also thinking of making a baffling system in the stock GT tank...but if not ill just fil up at half tank or more. :nice:

You know, its not all that bad....just a few holes and a little etching and wire splicing and thats about it :) .

And yea dual cobra pumps will fit in the GT tank....but I believe they have a slightly different hook up to the stock fuel line. But im not 100% sure on the specifics.

Cobra pumps and tank go for like $850

yeah yeah... how long till the turbo's done??????:D

Well 2nd header is almost done...1st header is going back under the knife for slight clearance issues.
The rest of the system should go pretty fast....building headers with 0 space is unbelievably hard, you have to think of a million things.

Ill say what I said last month....ill give it another month :D
