From what I've seen on the hardcore forum aparrently with the 28 oz less material has to be removed from the crank?

If you were going with lightweight internals (forged, etc.) in the block you would need a lighter balancer.

Less weight hanging off the ends of the crank, less material has to be removed from the crank like Nik said.

I was all set on going 50oz on my engine because I already had a 50oz romac ultra light balancer but I decided I wanted a new flywheel so I sold everything and I went 28 oz romac ultra light balancer and im buying a 28oz Ford billet steel fly from d&d.
