65/66 Factory GT vs Deal GT - How to tell the Diff

I've got an opportunity to by a 66 GT Fastback. But I've been told that back in the day Dealers often converted some of the cars to a GT at the dealership. This one has the disk brakes, stiffer swaybars, exhaust in the valance, fourspeed, and the GT badging, but how can I be sure is a factory GT vs a Dealership conversion/knockoff?
