The wife and I attended our first show as Mustang owners this evening. Here is a photo of our 65.
And yes, I know it needs wheels pretty badly. I will be getting shiny chrome wheels as soon as she gives me permission.

A couple different plays on Shelby side stripes...
I've also experimented with the Ford GT's side stripes, which replicate the twin "LeMans stripes" from the top of the car...
Not to mention you can play with moving the logo around...
Or deleting it entirely...
On the "top" of the car, it's hard to go wrong with classic Lemans stripes, but you could also consider the "Super Snake" stripes...
As far as color, don't be afraid to experiment a LITTLE - some brighter colors (within reason!) can make the car "pop". Instead of Wimbledon "Off-"white, I used the modern Performance white , and had the vinyl side-stripes color-matched for the Lemans stripes... It looks "right" when standing alone, and tends to make "correct cars" look dull when together...

Dont feel bad...The SAME wheels were on my mustang when I bought it. I even have an extra one still laying in the garage. You can barely GIVE that wheel and tire away...haha.
They dont look THAT bad

I have a good idea for a paint job with my stang but dad says no. I was thinking about going straight black with red gt stripes down the hood, then to top it all off a set of redline tires. Possibly the gt stripes down the side of the doors too but i think ill just leave that the stock chrome piece.
