As some of you know, I am working on the reproduction of the 65-67 KH based front disc brake system. It is common knowledge that the caliper inlet is 7/16" for 67 vs 3/8" for 66. The anti-rattle clips are different as well. I have run across another major difference that requires me to make a design decision. That is, the caliper brackets are different as well. The 67 caliper mounts holes are displaced a little (~0.125") vs the 65-66 type. In addition the bracket is made a bit beefier in a key location.
I assume that the resulting relocation of the caliper in 67 was intended to correct a minor deficiency. With that in mind, I figure that I will make build the 67 system and risk not being concourse correct for 65-66. What do you think?
