Mustangers,
I’m helping a grieving widow assess the value of her husband’s Mustang. It’s not in very great shape but may have one redeeming asset. It’s a ’65 moss green coupe with a 289 HI-PO. The car isn’t driveable (no battery and transmission in the trunk). Does not appear to have a ton of rust, frame rails look okay. Lots of chips and faded paint so probably needs a repaint, chrome is good. There are door alignment issues but hinges work well. Tires good with Cragar wheels. Interior has had seats replaced and looks like will clean up well, no radio, non-stock shifter. Overall quite a few parts have been replaced. Another project that he just never got around to finishing.

I had an idea on price until I saw the HI-PO badging. Any thoughts on what this car should sell for appreciated.

Thanks!

Greg

Hey Jim, Thanks for your help. Turns out it's a T code inline 6 originally. The engine upgrade and HI-PO badging must have come later. Anyway I think I answered my own question. Seems like maybe $3K-$5K car. I can send you pix and more if you want to check it out.
