I am currently converting my front brakes to discs using the scarebird setup for 14" stock wheels.
I have a 8" 67 mustang rear that I wanted to convert to disc.
I know that ultrastang and scarebird have 14" compatable disc kits, but they require a good deal of machining. I just finished changing over the entire front suspension from the I6 package, so I'd like to avoid the extra time and labor, at this point.
NPD has a rear kit for $795, but that's more than I have right now.
If I go with Drum brakes, what is the biggest setup that will fit?
Should I go to autozone to get the new hardware?
I went with the 14" wheels, because I like the look of the wheel covers and they fit my budget.
I did notice some later model mustang wheels that looked nice. Could a 2003 17" bullit style rim be used with spacers?
