I have a 67 with manual drum brakes. And I have a 68 parts car with power discs. I plan to swap the entire 68 power disc system over to the 67. Do I need the 68 brake pedal for this conversion?
I second that. The PB pedal is quite a bit different than a manual. The pivot point is further away from the MC pushrod so you dont have as much leverage. If you use the manual pedal with power brakes, I understand that your brakes will be touchy and very difficult to modulate. Something a few people like to do is install the '68 collapsing steering column as well. You have to change to the '68 the steering box to do so, though.
Maybe that is the source of the conflicting information in that other thread, I was able to fit the 68 steering column into my 67 and keep the brake pedal bacause I had factory PDBs?

I dont even know anymore. I didnt do any research on the PB pedals. Either people dont know what they're talkng about or Ford used a mishmash of different parts.
