I assume you're talking about the fuel filter inlet?
My only suggestion is to try to rethread with a tap/die set.
I guess you could also modify the inlet to use a larger or different type of connector and switch to an inline filter.
Of course you may want to replace the carb anyway if it's got some age on it.
