67 fuel pump on a 65 289?

I have 3/8" fuel line and 3/8" sender but the 289 fuel pump only comes with 5/16" inlet. The 66+ fuel pump looks totally different but is it still the same in principle and can be used on the 65 motor? I assume it can but can't find any info on it. I don't think any changes were made to the motor?

All 289 302 and 351 pumps will interchange ,there may be a difference in line size and maybe a different angle the line comes into the pump ,but you can also change the short fuel line if needed
