'67 Steering Wheel Spring-Loaded Horn Contacts

Howdy, I just replaced the dreaded Grant steering wheel with something nicer. After I pulled the Grant wheel I found out why the P.O. wired-in a horn button on the side of the console! The spring-loaded contacts are toast. Nothing left but one long spring and a ground-down short spring, and a lot of copper shavings.

So it seems these contacts are part of the turn signal switch assy; is there any fix for them other than replacement of the entire assy with wiring harness?
