Looking to restore my original 14 x 6 styled steel rims. I will be alternating with these and my 17" torque thrusts. Not sure if i want to go chrome or argent, but which brand of paint holds up the best?

Not sure I understand the question; are your wheels chrome or argent silver?

Go with argent. Getting your wheels chromed would cost more than just buying new chrome 68 wheels. You could make the argent wheels look like new for about $20 worth of rattle cans.

For a really nice touch, get them sand blasted and take them to a powder coater.

I sand blasted some wheels and painted them. They look fine, but if you want durability, you need to have them either chrome plated, or powder coated. I cringe any time I get my tires replaces as paint is not durable at all when faced with that tire machine, know what I mean (that lip especially, some don't even paint that lip). Otherwise be prepared to do some touch up painting after you get your tires mounted, or don't paint them till the new tires are put on. Just my two cents.

Sure, excellent results, but a lot more than 20 bones. Guess it's a question of his budget. The wheels on this car were pretty pitted, but they were installed right after it was delivered, so the owner wanted them powder-coated and put back on the car.

I will look for argent silver paint. I may sand blast, then primer the wheels.....then wait to paint them after the install of the tires.

You want Ford argent paint. I bought a couple cans off ebay. Two is enough.
