I may have stumbled into something, again. I found a guy, retired military, that has spent the last 20 years buying up 69/70 Mach's, Bosses, and Coupes. I am calling him again tomorrow to set up a meeting. Story goes, he lives alone and builds one car at a time to support his retirement income. What a great job. I'll let you know.

Probably help him. Whether it be buying , selling, partnership, who knows. Depends on him I guess. At least I may have a source for the 69/70 crowd.

SPIFFY!
I'll take...
any 302 engine you happen upon with screw in freeze plugs
the rear suspension from a BOSS 302
the rocker trim from a 70 mach
and other assorted stuff.

I'll give'em exactly 'tree fitty' for everything

J/K

Sounds pretty sweet let us know what comes of it

Gee, I wonder who it is? When I was living in Brandon (a south Tampa suburb that has ballooned into suburban hell), I ran into a few guys that had huge stashes of parts and cars. There was one guy just north of Brandon Blvd on Kings (or was it Providence?) that had a huge collection of stuff he was trying to get rid of... I picked through it. I remember my 17 year old brain thinking "wow, if I only had the $500 the guy wants for everything...". I ended up buying some molding, but I remember seeing several complete tach dashes, a/c assemblies, wiring harnesses, fenders, hoods, trim, glass, body panels, 2 or 3 consoles, several sets of highback seats, door panels, etc, etc, etc. Now I think "wow, I was a dumbass 17 year old that should've gotten a job and bought the stuff."

Out of curiousity, where does the guy live??? Gosh, I hope it isn't my dad you're going to see...

I love your thread title BTW, lol. Why not just say Ladies and gentlemen, oh yeah and Pak, you too.

This sounds like a way cool opportunity for you. I myself am trying to work something out with a local guy, it's just one car but it's rare and he is asking like nothing for it. I do not have the time or place to restore it myself unless I sold my car for finance money, but I know I can turn it around for quite a bit more.

BTW, put me down for a Dixco style hood tach if you come accross one for a non-outrageous ebay price of course.

I hope you can work something out with him. Sounds like a great find.

There is an old guy near me in north central Ky. and he has eleven 69 and 70 mach 1s and fastbacks in a junkyard. He won't sell any cars or parts at all.Says he's going to start fixing them up for his grandkids. yeah right!
Also has some other mustangs, cougars and older cars.
One car I thought was kinda neat was a Henry J Coupe with a Sears and Roebuck tag in the door.

Listen up! I am going to meet this guy in a couple days. He says he has 40 69-70 convertible, Mach and Boss fastbacks. They range from 302B to 429CJ. Give me a list of your needs pronto and I'll see what I can get on my first trip. I'll probably make the trip on Friday. Be as detailed as you can because I'll check off every item.

If the price is right I'd be interested in a center console in addition to the hood tach.

Here's the scoop...seen them myself. This guy has 40+ Mach1's and many, many parts. They may not be inexpensive but, with the craze for the 69/70 and hard to find parts, I don't blame him..He has everything! Send a list of you're needs and I'll see what I can deal him for. Worth got an excellent hood the other day. Send your requests to George
