I'm having a custom roll bar made by HFR fabrications (www.hfrfab.com/Fabrication.html). It's being made to appear like a stock '69 Shelby roll bar, but it will be .120 wall thickness and extend all the way to the floor (cut to fit) to be welded in. I picked up a used original '69 Shelby (rusted) bar on e-bay and dropped it off so they could use it as a template. I also bought a pair of reproduction fiberglass boots that cover the bar where it enters the rear quarter trim panel. There's a guy in Dallas who reproduces all the seat belt parts. It should look like a stock Shelby installation when I'm through, but be functional.

If anyone else is interested in having a duplicate but functional '69 Shelby bar made for themselves, give them a call. Maybe he'll give us a break on price if there's a larger order.
