anyone know how many turns of the steering wheel you have lock to lock in a factory power steering car? I am trying to get min centered up. Right know my front wheels turn more to the right than left.

Depends on what box you have ,look at the tag on the top .A quick ratio box is SMBK and takes less to turn .I cant remember how many turns it has but i can check one in the morning .

In addition, other than just eyeballing it, is ther a good way to know that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead before dropping in the tie rod ends. Some sort of reference?

The drag link , the hole for the idler and the hole for the pitman arm will be the same distance from the frame rails on both sides ,then you can adjust the tie rods for each side until the tires are straight .You can measure the tire front and back side from the frame rail ,that should get you close enough for the alignment shop .A good alignment shop will square up the front end and the steering wheel .
