$700 to spend.. what mods to get?!

The car is running kinda rich with white smoke and all.. I can't really tell because of the cold weather and all. Anyhow, will reflashing computer void warranty? So I won't need a speedcal if I get reflash correct? And lastly, where can I reflash the computer? (reflash is not another word for tuning or chip right?)
i say get the 4.10's for 150, install for 200, and then spend 400 or so of the leftovers on a dyno tune. that would have the 02 sensors turned off in the rear so you won't get a check engine light, and all your air/fuel ratio's cleaned up so you are running smoothly on 91+ octane, plus calibrate your speedometer and get you a little power.

Gears, order them from Randy Stinchcomb if you want OEM Ford gears. I just recieved my 4.30 gears and bearing and seal kit from him. Got it all shipped to my door for 226 dollars. The gears were only 130. The bearing and seal kit was 80 dollars. The other 16 was shipping.

If you want FRPP gears, go to www.stangstore.com and get the FRPP gears from them since they seem to be about the cheapest on FRPP gears. If youre planning on staying n/a, then no less than 4.10s. JMHO. If supercharging, probably 3.73's.

Since you have a five speed, you can calibrate your speedometer with just a speedcal from www.brothersperformance.com The speedcal isnt but like 85 dollars or so. If you want to advance your ignition timing and have a good speedo reading at the same time, then I vote for the EEC flash as the other guys were talking about.

If you decide not to do the EEC flash, then I recommend putting that extra money twords sticky tires.

in my opinion, if your car has enough power for the time being, you should do suspension and lower your machine

gears can go in next like the others suggested.

this is only my opinion because im doing it in this order as well

im kinda sick of the "4X4" look, plus i crave better handling

it all depends on what youre looking for.

Will the ECC flash void the warrantly like the chip would? If not, will it matter if I want to get it flash before I do C&L plenum/gears/etc... Would it be better to install all of the thing I want first, then do the flash last?

BTW, my X-pipe has cats.. so I dont' think that the check engine light will come up as the o/r pipes would..

I'd say go for the gears, then suspension mods.

or

Gears, Tim's reflash and pullies

or

Suspension, reflash, pullies

or

gears and suspension (since you are going the work yourself)

The EEC flash will NOT void the warranty unless if the dealership finds out about the programming. Therefore, dont tell them anything.

Yes, you should install your parts FIRST(gears last of those things) and then do the EEC flash.

To avoid the SES light glow, get the codes for the rear o2 sensors turned off when getting the EEC flash.
