75k too many miles for Supercharger?

Hey Guys. My 99 GT has almost 75,000 miles on it. I want to add a S/C but I'm not sure if an engine with that many miles is a good bet (well taken care of but still 75k).

Whatta ya think?

Do a compression check on the motor. Id still be wary but it can and has been done before. Good luck, I know what its like to have a higher mileage car and want to do stuff.

I have 96,000 on my car and am planning on definately installing a supercharger.. I hope it blows! I have a backup engine waiting!!!!!

Should be fine. Just start saving for the forged internals because eventually its going to pop.

Great question

Yeah, do a compression test to see, superficially, what kind of shape the engine is in. If you have been good about maintenance it should be okay so long as you limit boost and switch to synthetic oil for better lubrication. Probably around 6PSI to start.
