80 at 2800??? wtf?? stock gears???

if with my stock gears in my 96 (dont know if its 2 73 or 3 20) but at 80 im hitting 2700-2800. what will i be running with 4 10s?!?!?!?!?! i already bought the 4 10s too. but damn is it normal for stock gears to wine only going 80???!? i can only imagine how much pain my gass bill is going to be in when i move to 4 10s.. is it possible i already have aftermarket gears in my stuff???

EDIT- my car IS an AUTO!!!

Seems a little high to me. I have stock 3.27's in mine and in 5th gear at 80 im around 2100-2200

Do you have auto or manual???

With 3.73 you would be at 80 mph at 2750rpms in OD
With 3.55 you would be at 84.5 mph at 2750rpms in OD.
With 3.27 you would be at 92 mph at 2750rpms in OD.

Edited to change numbers to Auto

So it may be possible that you may have 3.73 from what you said that were in it when you got it.

Im pretty sure yours has 3.73's already in. Ive got 4.10's and Im turning 3000rpms at 80mph. Oh btw i dont think there is a 3.20, more like a 3.27

3.73's sound about right to me! send your gears back and use the money to buy a speedcal!
