84 convertible removing plastic heater ducts behind radio?

Can anyone tell me how to get the plastic black heater ducts out so I can remove the factory radio. I am pretty much at wits end. This should be simple? I have tried everything I can think of but even with some grunt it won't budge. I have to remove the radio to get it checked out. That part is simple.
Is there a hidden screw somewhere?

I didnt pull the ducts out, it's a PITA but it will come out... I did pull the console though.

It took me 3 minutes to figure out what the PITA meant and then you got a good laugh out of me.
That it is. Guess I'll just try to force it out and not worry about ever putting it back again? A shame that they made such a simple car to work on a bummer on a blooming radio that has such a limited life.

It is alot easier with the console out.. I think I had to tilt the back up then turn it sideways...

Someone there probably has it down.. it's been awhile since I put in mine.
