hah, i forgot you have a coupe so you don't get this problem. it rattles at the latch. a better question, i rebuilt my motor, coming up on 600 miles ago. well i put crane 1.7 rockers on it. they're kinda noisy and i've been told i should adjust them again because they might be hindering my performance a bit. i've also been told and read on here that that's just how they are. i REALLY don't want to pull the top part of my motor off again to adjust them again unless it's absolutely necessary and is causing a loss. what do you think?

Stud mount or pedestal? Personally i'm pretty much against 1.7s....IMO they put excess bind on the valve geometry and if you want the extra lift you can get it with a different cam. But, i don't think it would hurt to readjust them....it just sucks that you're EFI and have to pull off the intake. That's one more + for carbs

YAY! 2001!!

they're pedestal. yeah that's why i don't want to do it! i've already had to pull the upper three times, i don't want to do it again, but i probably will because i don't want something catestrophic to occur. i gotta pull my transmission again and get it rebuilt (already ) so i'll just do it all then. thanks for the input!

Maybe try to trade them for some 1.6 rollers? I lucked out and bought some Comp Cams Pro Magnums for $160 from a local guy and they're like new....these are $275 new from Summit.

You could get crazy and get a Victor Jr. carbed intake tapped for fuel injectors and run an elbow up top, then you might be able to slip the valve cover off with the top on.....if not then it's only 4 bolts to take off the elbow. If i were gonna run EFI that's how i'd have to build mine.
