Hi I added the tube that was missing. Still the top does not go up and down. I think in the 1985 mustang the fuse is #12, but not sure. Does the motor have any kind of fluid in it, can it loose it's prime? If it can how can one re prime the motor? Please any help or diagrams would be helpful. I connected any hoses that I could, there is a black rubbery hose and a white plastic hose, does anyone know where those 2 hoses go?? Is there fuses in a special place for the top. where can find the fuse link C and the convertible top circuit breaker??
Where can one find the power window rebuild kit?? mustangs unlimited does not carry that item. Guess they want to sell the motors. So any help with this issue would be great thanks, Josh

It's a hydraulic motor. Make sure it has fluid and add the appropriate amount through the plugged hole at the bottom of the motor, you may have to bleed the lines going to the hydraulic lifts too.

One other thing, both hoses were originally white. Over time they get hard and brittle and are eventually replaced with newer flexible black ones. Sounds like you have one old hose and one newer hose. And no, it doesn't matter which hose goes where.

Thank you for your response. I will bleed it and replace the hoses. I think it might need the gears or gear changed. I hear the motor running.Again thanks, posting another question. Please if you can help let me know
