So I have 86 t top project with the canyon red interior. An 86 v6 hatch just popped up for sale in my area with gray interior. Can I use all/any/some of the interior on mine? Obviously some parts won't work because of the top, but what about the rear plastics, dash and center console? Also it seems to have ponies on it, same pattern for the gt and v6 right? Please let me know guys, I don't want to miss out on this as these parts don't come around all that often. Thanks.

Oh one more thing, how about the body? Same shell. I could use a new front bumper cover on mine. Thanks again.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Sounds like the parts you want to use will work. The front pillars and the door trim/panels will not.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

Fenders forward are the same for both cars. Hatch and rear bumpers are the same as well. The doors are certainly different. The dash and console will be interchangeable as well as seats and carpet. The rear 1/4 plastics are different at the top rear of the ttops. You can trim the grey ones to work but it won't look factory. The a pillar trim is different as well. This will not be an easy conversion no matter how you shake it. Ttop interior pieces can be very hard to come by, especially for a conversion. The wheels are also interchangeable. Hope this helps

Thanks for the help. Seems like it would definitely be worth getting. I can use all the pieces I can get right now.

That sounds great, fingers crossed. I need all the plastics. I have a complete interior but I want original gray. I don't want to paint or dye everything. I'm afraid it will just fade and show the red later down the road. I don't mind paint and maintaining the t top stuff. Hopefully one day I'll find some of those parts too.

What do you guys think would be a fair price for an entire interior in good to fair condition? Keep in mind asking price for the car is 1200. I'm not sure yet if I'll try and get the car or make an offer for the the interior and wheels as the owner is willing to part out.
