87 5.0 stock exhaust diameter?

anyone know the stock exhaust diameter for a 1987 5.0?

know its either 2.25" or 2.5", but i dunno which =(

I do believe it is actually 2.25" all the way back... someone else will probably chime in.

My 89 had 2.25 inch front to tip.

No stang EVER came with 2 1/2 exhaust.

2 1/4 [2.25"] on mine too.... [which really isn't too small on a stock engine...]

Ditto. 2.25 was stock. Most of the after market stuff for the Fox is 2.5.

I was shocked to see so many replys to such a simple question. But when I read the first reply, I knew why.
All 86-95 5.0 Mustangs came with 1 1/2 header primaries and 2 1/4 pipes after the collectors.
I guess thats why we all should help each other out.
