87-93 5.0 Fuel Regulator question

It's easy. You don't need to move anything really. It takes a while to get the 3 allens out but thats about it. If the car is really stock I guess you could try 38-40psi with the vacuum hose off. I haven't set up a stock car in over a decade. Somebody back up my pressure suggestion.

someone told me the could only get the old one off by removing the upper intake?

take the vacuum hose off the regulator to set it up?
You can get it off without removing the upper intake but it is difficult. The allen head screws are not easy to get to.
I feel it is easier to take off the upper intake. Then remove the fuel rail and then replace it.

Yes, you take the vacuum hose off to set the fuel pressure.

38 PSI is a good setting.

It takes longer than you would imagine. I couldn't get to my allen bolts so i had to take everything off to get the fuel rail. Thought it would only take an hour tops. Plan on 2.

Take the upper intake off and the fuel rail also. That way when you put the new regualtor on you can make sure its seated properly. when you put your fuel rail back on pressurize your fuel system to check for leaks before you bolt everything back on. took me about 1.5 hours and i was cleaning up the parts while they were off the car.
