Hello,

The title says it all. I have an 87 black vert. I'm looking to repaint the rubber door molding but can't figure out " what type black" to use.
I assume SEM bumper coater, but there is reg black and gloss black. Could even go just SEM trim black but don't know if this will work on the rubber.
I know it's basically my choice but I'm looking to match as close to OEM as possible.

I repainted all the trim with SEM trim Black and WOW does it work and look great!

Thank you for all your help!
-Rick

I’d paint those with the same paint you used on everything else so it matches.

SEM Trim black would be fine. Use it here at the body shop all the time

So since this is a GT

So even though this is a GT with ground FX painted the same color as the body, the door rubber molding should be painted the same (SEM TRIM BLACK) as the rest of the trim to match even though the ground FX are gloss and the door molding would be Flat or whatever sem trim black is?

Is SEM trim black flexible for rubber and do i need an adhesion promoter or would Sem high build primer be good enough?
