On the driver side I found this red wire that was smashed under the seat belt mount under the rear quarter window. Curious...is this really how the wire was ran to the rear for verts (obviously not under the bracket lol)? (driver side)

What wire is that?
I've had a lot of verts and never noticed a wire like that running through the cabin

Yeah, pretty sure that's not a stock wire for anything. But I can check the back of my vert when I get home to confirm if you'd like. If I had to guess, it's probably a wire for an aftermarket stereo setup of some sort, like maybe an amp trigger wire?

I’m guessing the power wire for an amp. Turn on or trigger wire typically is 18 ga. Or at least that is what we used at the shop I worked at back in the day.

Original Issue: Traced the red (solid) to the driver kick panel. Apparently they simply jumped the red/blue wire (power ignition run) to the rear of the car from the blue connector under the kick panel - they must have thought they had a wire break on the red/blue since the wire simply tapped back into itself under the quarter window.

Newly Discovered Issue: Although, I found more mess hoping I can get clarity on. white wire hanging with tape traced to a Bosch relay which connects to the two red wires shown in the image which come from the cloth taped harness-the two red wires look legit, but the relay is a total mess, something isn't right. One red wire goes to two pin black connector (two red/blue wires) at clutch pedal. Greatly appreciate any insight on this if anyone knows. Thanks. EDIT: Does this have something to do with a remote start possibly? Two red wires were not "legit" (factory).
EDIT 2: This was a clutch 12v intercept relay. Prolly/guessing remote start.

All set on drivers side. Had no idea this thing had rear speakers. What will I find on pass. side when I get there.

No idea why this thread? I was tripping in the hospital bed yesterday.
I'm home today so much better thanks for asking.
I had a new procedure ( only the third one done in my state) they put a chemotherapy drug coated balloon up my pee hole to keep me peeing as I had 4 yes Fing 4 t.u.r.p. procedures that failed.
Worst of all is I wound up with muscle atrophy in my legs,so getting up stair or high curbs is no bueno, and going under my cars is great, till.I have to get up.
They say the big guy doesn't give us more then we can handle ,well.i.think he has me confused with a super hero or the like.

Been there with the muscle atrophy - it's so quick to go but takes a while to return. Hope you're able to regain your strength quickly!

Btw, I still think that post is CT worthy.... lol
