Hey all, new to Stangnet. Excited to be here! Got a problem though...
Have an 89 gt and have had the dreaded idle surge and stall problem!! ugh, so my multi meter skills are ok, and I have run codes. I will just start by saying KOER is 66 and 98, which is MAF and map. I have tested power and ground at the MAF senor plug and at the computer. Ground tests good and I have 12v. MAF sensor is also new and calibrated for 30lb injectors. KOEO code is 95 and 22. With engine warm or cold it runs about the same, tho warm it does run slightly better. Though my car is an 86 chassis it obviously was converted to Mass Air by previous owner. I'm thinking it would never run an 11 but not sure of that. I have cleared codes with each new part and ran testes again. Problem persists. My throttle body has no adjustment screw for base idle relearn, so thats good. Computer has been replaced with a used unit but should be good...
Also all sensors are replaced and fuel pump is new. I am also getting steady 12v from fuel inertia switch forward. I may be forgetting to explain other things but this is a start. What should I be looking for to fine tune this thing?? Could my MAF sensor be faulty? Or my computer?
