I'm having a miss and I can't find the prob. This car ran great 3 weeks ago untill the car transport place dropped it off...it's had a miss since.
Ok the car is a 89 notch with 82k on it. Stock motor.
The prob:
The idle jumps a lil at idle, between 650-800 when it's missing.
During acceleration it misses horribly, car jerks and jumps and it's plain pissing me off.
Ok what I've done
Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, Coil, TFI Module, Fuel Filter, ran fuel system cleaner, checked timing..put it at 10 degrees, and cleaned the MAF

So now I'm like WTF, nothing seems to work! I was gonna do the stator next...but I was hoping you guys had some insight...I hate throwing parts at this thing.
No codes either...maybe a injector?

HELP

Chris

Update...Makes me think TFI (but I changed it 2 days ago?)

Car ran great this a.m. no probs at all. Seems to run normal when it's cold...but like ass when it's warm?
Maybe try the stator...where it connects to the TFI..the connection point looked a lil rough.

HELP!

I'm leaning towards the stator too based on your description.

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
