9" 3rd member color?

In all the pictures the 9" 3rd member looks like red oxide primer, is that correct? anyone have a rattle can brand or color they like?

I painted my engine block, transmission case, and 3rd member ford blue. I think it is a good way to go.

correct, but you need to make sure it's a sealer primer and not a sandable/filler primer. i'd use rustoleum ruddy brown, or rusty metal primer.

edit: or the best option would be a red oxide 2K epoxy primer
